Cornerstone Montessori Summer Camp - Summer Fun 2010!
Come join the fun at Cornerstone Montessori School. Join our classroom teachers and other Cornerstone staff as they lead the children through a variety of subjects. Our camps are open to the public and are designed to meet the needs of every child preprimary through sixth grade (ages 3-12). Our summer program is designed to nurture curiosity, creativity, and imagination. These goals are met through special theme weeks, the classrooms, and the teachers.
Children are required to bring a packed lunch and water bottle labeled with their name each day. Snacks and water are provided.
The cost of the Summer Camp program is as follows:
- Summer Camp: $200 per week. (9am to 4pm with drop off at 8:45am)
- Deposit: A $200 deposit is due with the application. If you are enrolling for more than one week, payments will be due the first day of camp each week. Your deposit will cover your last week of camp.
- There is a $25 per week discount for children signed up for 8 or more weeks.

June 7-11 |
Art, Art and More Art with Ms. Lizz & Ms. Susan During our art camp at CMS children will use several different mediums to create unique artwork to cherish forever. Projects will include a mosaic, tie-dying, acrylic painting, paper making and much more. Each artist will have the opportunity to create with their imagination. Please bring a white t-shirt that can be tie-dyed. Material Fee: $15 |

June 14-18 |
Music Camp with Ms. Lizz & Ms. Jill Come to CMS for a week of musical memories. We will try out a variety of instruments such as guitar, keyboard, drums, voice, etc. We will overview basic music theory, have musical guests and learn about rhythm. Camp Fee: $15 |

June 21-25 |
Science & Nature Camp with Ms. Melissa & Ms. LeAnne Come spend a week at CMS doing many different scientific experiments and explore the many different treasures of nature. Experiments include making tie-dye, making a terrarium and much more. Material Fee: $15 |

Jun 28- Jul 2 |
Kids in the Kitchen Camp with Ms. Melissa & Ms. LeAnne Join us for a week of learning cooking basics at CMS. The children will be learning how to follow a recipe, measure ingredients, mixing, baking and creating foods without cooking. We will be using different recipes to make everything from bread to ice cream! YUM! Material Fee: $10 |

July 12-16 |
Creeking & Hiking with Ms. Jill* Join us at the Schadler’s country estate where we will explore the creek for animals and fossils. We will take hikers into the woods to explore nature. After all that hiking we will cool down in the pool with some fun water games. Each child will need to bring a pair of shoes that are comfortable for hiking and walking in the creek, bathing suit, towel, sun screen and goggles (if needed). |

July 19-23 |
Water Fun 1 with Ms. Mary & Ms. Becky* Join us at the Schadler’s country estate for lots of water games in and out of the pool. We will play marco polo, sharks and minnows, water polo, category, ball tag, water volleyball, and even learn some water aerobics. Outside the pool, we will have water balloon games poolside, and Mexican train dominoes. In between water games, we will play some field games such as different types of relay races. Each child will need to bring a bathing suit, towel, sun screen and goggles (if needed). |

July 26-30 |

Sports of All Sorts with Ms. Mary & Ms. Becky* A week of good old fashioned fun at the Schadler’s country estate! We will learn and play all of those fun and poplar games from years past. We will play Ghost in the Graveyard, Capture the Flag, Spud, Croquet, etc. We will also learn how to play volleyball, soccer, basketball, badminton, and many types of water games. Each child will need to bring a bathing suit, towel, sun screen and goggles (if needed). |

Aug. 9-13 |
Arts & Crafts Camp with Ms. Melissa Join us at CMS for a week of arts & crafts fun with Ms. Melissa before school starts. We will be making all types of art and craft projects that we will bring home at the end of the week. Scrapbooking, painting, and much more. Material Fee: $10Camp fee: $15 |
*All camps with pool activities are supervised by a YMCA certified lifeguard.
*If the camp is held at Mary Schadler’s estate (the directress’s house in Walton, KY), children can either be dropped off at school and transported by van or dropped off at Ms. Mary’s house.
